Tata Consumer Products' previously reported bid for Coffee Day Enterprises vending business has apparently fallen through, as Coffee Day's lenders are negotiating with several private equity funds to find a buyer for its vending business, according to a VCCircle report, citing an earlier report in The Economic Times.
Led by Yes Bank, lenders are expecting a valuation of Rs 2,000 crore (about $274 million).
Tata Consumer Products, which owns the Tata Tea, Eight O'Clock Coffee, Tata Coffee Grand and Himalayan Natural Mineral Water brands, could re-enter the bidding, and Hindustan Unilever is also believed to be interested in the Coffee Day Enterprises vending business, according to sources.
