Coffee consumption has been linked with lower rates of chronic liver disease, according to a recent U.K. study reported in biomedcentral.com. All types of coffee were found to decrease the risk of chronic liver disease.
The study examined 494,585 participants with known levels of coffee consumption. The study examined hospital, death and cancer records.
Coffee drinkers had lower adjusted hazard ratios of chronic liver disease than non-drinkers.
