Yet another study has been published linking improved health to coffee consumption.
Coffee and green tea can lower mortality in Type 2 diabetics, according to a study published in BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care, reported ourcommunitynow.com. Drinking two or more cups of coffee and four or more of green tea daily lowered mortality by around 63% in the sample base, according to the report.
Researchers from Hakujyuji Hospital, Kyushu University and Fukuoka Dental College studied the health of 4,923 individuals in Japan with Type 2 diabetes for five years. Persons who drank coffee or green tea or both showed a much lower risk of mortality from not only diabetes, but cancer, dementia and circulatory diseases.
