The Coca-Cola Co. plans to cut 2,200 jobs globally, including 1,200 in the U.S., in response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. The cuts represent about 12% of its U.S. workforce.
The company will reduce jobs using a combination of layoffs and buyouts.
In August, the company offered voluntary separations to around 4,000 employees, but did not say how many participated.
