Coca-Cola Co., PepsiCo and Starbucks have joined the list of companies suspending business in Russia in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine, according to an NPR report.

Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson said its licensed partner has agreed to halt operations at its 130 stores there.

"Our hearts are with the people who are enduring unconscionable effects from these tragic events in Ukraine," the Coca-Cola Co. said in a press release. The company said it will monitor and assess the situation as circumstances evolve.

PepsiCo Inc. said it is suspending sales of Pepsi-Cola and other global beverage brands in Russia, where it has operated for more than 60 years. It will also suspend advertising and capital investments in the country, but will continue to sell baby formula, milk and baby food.
