Coca-Cola in Japan has introduced vending machines that allow customers to fill containers with water as part of an effort to cut plastic waste, according to a Nikkei.com report.

The machines, which have been installed at Universal Studios on a trial basis, offer two types of sparkling water in addition to cold, hot and room temperature still water.

The water costs 60 yen (52 cents) for around 500 milliliters.

The machines also offer reusable bottles, sold for 260 yen ($2.27) with the water, as well as a rinser for water bottles and tumblers.
