Coca-Cola Consolidated Inc. has pushed back against Surry County, North Carolina's decision to remove Coca-Cola vending machines on account of Coca-Cola Co. statements about Georgia election laws, according to a myfox8.com report.
During a county commissioners meeting Monday, representatives from Charlotte, North Carolina-based Coca-Cola Consolidated asked the commissioners to keep the vending machines.
Commissioner Eddie Harris said 12 Coca-Cola machines will be removed from the old courthouse, a human services building in Mount Airy, the Department of Social Services, the sheriff's office, the permitting office and health department.
