Great Lakes Coca-Cola Bottling, a Coca-Cola bottler serving the Midwest, will move its Detroit facility to Grand Rapids, Michigan, impacting around 135 workers, according to a Detroit Free Press report.

Todd Lince, president of Teamsters Local 337, a union representing the employees, said there are issues with the Detroit facility, including parking and water, and that the Grand Rapids location recently built an additional facility.

Nancy Limon, vice president of government relations and public affairs at Great Lakes Coca-Cola Bottling, said in an email to the Free Press that the Grand Rapids facility is best positioned to achieve the size and scale needed to maximize manufacturing operations.
