Cloud storage protects data at Washington FEC damaged by fire

Cloud storage allowed a family entertainment center, King Family Fun Center, known as Skate Tiffany's, in Puyallup, Washington, to preserve its data when a fire damaged the building in September, according to a press release. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Thanks to Intercard's use of data storage in a secure cloud environment, the Kings did not lose any of their data for the business, according to the press release.

"Intercard had all their point-of-sale data backed up," Amber Lambert, a sales rep for Intercard, said in the press release. "This has made it possible to retrieve data and get access to the financial reporting they need for their insurance claim."

Lambert lives nearby, and she and her family volunteered to spend a Saturday morning cleaning up smoke-damaged roller skates.
