XIAMEN, China -- A young IT worker from Xiamen in China's Fujian province has won more than 3,000 toys from skill cranes during a six-month-long winning streak. According to a report in People's Daily Online, Chen Zhitong has a natural talent for claw machines, at one point completely emptying one of its entire merchandise stock.
Not surprisingly, the young man has become something of a worldwide coin-op celebrity. Crowds have started gathering in local arcades to watch him work his magic with the claws. Location owners, on the other hand, have begun begging and bribing him to stop playing.
"This is skill work, you need to know how to combine experience with practice," Zhitong told local media outlets. He also admitted that he has no particular fondness for plush toys, he simply enjoys winning.
