EAST LANSING, MI -- Thirty industry executives completed the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Executive Development Program in mid-October at Michigan State University. Members of the EDP Class of 2015 join more than 450 other industry executives who have graduated from the program since its inception in 2000.
This year's curriculum incorporated new content. New EDP faculty fellow Dr. Cheri Speier-Pero, an MSU professor whose expertise is information systems and accounting, led the session "Business Analytics and Leveraging Customer Data." Also new were an updated case study and a customer pricing component, teaching participants how to strategize and tackle pressing industry challenges, while preparing them for the future.
This fall marked the 15th year of NAMA's Executive Development Program.
"Our participants came from a variety of professional backgrounds within the [vending] industry, but they were united by passion and a strong desire to learn and grow," said NAMA executive vice-president and chief operating officer Dan Mathews. "I know they will continue to be assets to their companies and our industry at large."
