ZHONGSHAN, China -- The organizers of the China (Zhongshan) International Games & Amusement Fair - "G&A 2018" for short - report that this year's event will showcase China's fast-growing virtual reality amusement sector. The 2018 show is set for Nov. 29 through Dec. 2 at the Zhongshan Expo Center.
"Hi-tech products such as VR will become the mainstream of the Chinese amusement market in the future," the Expo's managers predict. This trend is demonstrated by the focus of China's well-known operators of arcades, theme parks and attractions such as Novaex, SoReal and Songcheng on bringing the VR experience to their customers. "Zhou Gangyi, director of the Guangzhou VR Industrial Association, predicts that the overall value of China's VR market could achieve 79.02 billion yuan [$11.482 billion US] by 2021," they added.
And Zhongshan is an ideal venue for an amusements show, the management pointed out. Located in China's GZhongshan Expo Center is the country's largest game and amusement machine producer and exporter, home to brands including Golden Dragon Group, Universal Space, Jinma, and G-Look, "most of whom have been our loyal exhibitors for years."
The Zhongshan game-amusement industry has developed comprehensively through extensive research and development, amusement ride and arcade game manufacturing and installation as well as theme park project planning and engineering as well as amusement park investment and management, the show organizers explained. "At present, arcade game and amusement products manufactured in Zhongshan account for 50% of the domestic product export sales share, sold in more than 100 countries and regions around the world."
G&A 2018 is expected to open with more than 500 domestic and international exhibitors; attendance is projected to be more than 35,000 visitors including 1500+ overseas buyers. The exhibition area will feature the latest VR and AR games, arcade games, carnival rides, water park slides and indoor play centers.
