Chia Joins Helix As Chief Product Officer Easte Becomes Strategy VP

SINGAPORE -- Helix Leisure has appointed Darren Chia to the newly created executive position of chief product officer. Helix also named Mark Easte senior vice-president of product strategy.

Chia, who comes to Helix from Lenovo (Beijing), assumed his new post on Dec. 1. He will oversee Helix Leisure's four R&D teams in Perth, Australia; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Pune, India. He's also in charge of supply-chain management. He will relocate to his native Singapore and report to Helix chief executive Theo Sanders.

Easte, who previously was senior R&D vice-president at Helix, will oversee its product roadmaps and major technology initiatives in his new role as product strategy vice-president. He will continue to be based in Perth and reports to Sanders.

Helix Leisure is a privately owned company comprised of amusement equipment manufacturers.
