A residential neighborhood vending bank in Belleville, Ontario will be closing after the city's planning advisory committee chose not to rezone the property to allow the eight vending machines to continue to operate, according to a quintenews.com report.
The machines have been sitting in the house's driveway for four years. City staff did not want the machines to set a precedent.
Public comments were mostly in favor of the machine, which people saw as a 24-hour convenience.
