The owner of a driveway vending machine bank in Belleville, Ontario will appeal a council decision outlawing his business to the Ontario Land Tribunal, according to a quintenews.com report.
The Belleville Council denied Juan Hernandez's request to rezone the property to allow him to keep his vending machines in his driveway.
The council believes the machines, which have been in operation for four years, violate zoning laws and would set a precedent in residential neighborhoods.
Hernandez says city officials have been aware of the machines for more than three years and told him there was no problem.
