NIAGARA FALLS, ON -- The Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association will hold its 58th annual trade show and 2015 convention at the Hilton Fallsview Hotel and Scotiabank Convention Centre from Oct. 15 through 17 (Thursday-Saturday) here.

This year's event will spotlight strategies for success in the new "experience" economy; harnessing innovations in coffee and tea to vending and coffee service operations; developments in cashless payment systems; facts bearing on the evolution of Canadian currency; opportunities for a "healthy" vending industry program in Canada; and micromarket trends.

A highlight of CAMA's annual convention is the awards dinner, which will be held at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, in the headquarters hotel's Great Falls Ballroom. Industry members from across Canada and the United States will be present to recognize the recipients of the Don Storey Memorial Award, the Stuart Daw Gold Service Award and the CAMA Customer Service Award.

The Don Storey Memorial Award is presented to an active member of CAMA who has demonstrated high standards of integrity as well as commitment to industry image and community relations in the area in which he or she operates, or the particular activity in which he or she is involved. The 2015 recipient is David Orriss, London Vending Services Ltd. (London, ON), a longtime member and past CAMA president for the Ontario region.

The Stuart Daw Gold Service Award honors an active CAMA member who best exemplifies the late OCS and specialty coffee pioneer's fine qualities -- entrepreneurial leadership, dedication and professionalism. The candidate also should possess sound work ethics upholding high industry standards, and have made an exceptional contribution to the office coffee service industry. This year's Gold Service Award will be presented to Bob Zapotochny, Personal Service Coffee (Hamilton, ON). He has served on the CAMA board of directors.

The CAMA Customer Service Award, introduced in 2011, commemorates the late Albert DeNovellis, whose personal approach and dedication to high standards of service were admired by clients and industry members across Canada. It's presented to a nominee who has made a consistently exceptional contribution to the vending and/or office coffee service industry in Canada, in terms of interest, service and achievement. The 2015 winners are Albert and Sophie Eskow, Alberta Vending Services (Leduc, AB). They are highly regarded by their clients for their dedication and commitment to customer service. Longtime members of CAMA, they attend the association's annual exposition faithfully.

Established in 1953, the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association is the only association representing the interests of vending and office coffee service operators, machine manufacturers, product and service suppliers, and micromarket providers in Canada. It has more than 250 members.
