Canada to deploy opioid dispensing machines to prevent drug overdoses

The Canadian government has provided nearly $3.5 million for five vending machines that will dispense medical-grade opioids in Ontario, Nova Scotia and British Columbia to prevent overdoses, according to a checknews.ca report.

The MySafe machines provide drug users hydromorphone pills by scanning their hand.
