California town to allow vending machines on private property

Avalon, California lawmakers have given a liquor store permission to place a vending machine outside the store and will also allow vending machines on private property, according to a report from The Catalina Islander.

The city council unanimously approved a special permit to allow Avalon Liquor to place a machine outside the store, which is on private property.

The council also authorized the city manager to allow vending machines on private property.
