California, Arizona vending associations plan joint annual meeting

Two state vending associations, the California Automatic Vendors Council and the Arizona Automatic Merchandising Council, will hold a joint annual meeting Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, at the Town & Country Resort in San Diego, according to a press release.
The gathering will include Thursday education sessions, a Friday golf outing, networking receptions and a Saturday dinner with awards and a silent auction.
Bill McBride, a financial planner, will discuss 401k plans, SEP IRAs and other retirement plans.
Heather Bailey, an attorney specializing in convenience services issues, will discuss federal laws such as ADA, family leave and workers compensation.
Elyssa Steiner, vice president of marketing at Cantaloupe Inc., will address using sales data in convenience services. This session will include a panel discussion featuring Zachary Oliver, owner of Dependable Vending in Upland, California, and some industry suppliers.
