Bakery fights COVID-19 using cake vending machine

Tracy German, owner of the Cake Bar in Trinity Groves near Dallas, was able to recover some of the business she lost to the coronavirus pandemic by installing a refrigerated vending machine that offers slices of cake, according to an WFAA-TV report. Customers can buy cake slices from the machine, accessible from outside the store, using cash or credit cards.

Shortly after installing machine, German said at least 30 people lined up to buy slices from the machine.

German plans to install a second machine outside the Cake Bar.
