Brookfield Mall kiosk selling cannabis, psychedelic mushrooms draws controversy

A kiosk selling cannabis and psychedelic mushroom products at Brookfield Square Mall in Brookfield, Wisconsin, has generated attention and sparked debate, according to a Fox 6 report. The kiosk is operated by Waukesha-based Ethereal Gold Dispensary, which reports significant sales growth. While the business asserts that age verification measures are in place, some mall patrons have expressed concern about the kiosk's presence, particularly regarding potential exposure to minors. Brookfield police have confirmed the kiosk's legality, citing the absence of local ordinances prohibiting such vending machines.

"It shouldn't be around kids," Debbie Mochalski, a mall patron, told the news outlet. "Too many kids come to the mall and they see this and think it's OK to do this. I don't agree with it."

Wisconsin Family Action has called for stricter regulations, advocating for restrictions on minor access to cannabinoid products. Ethereal Gold Dispensary maintains that purchases require 21+ ID and credit card verification.
