Brisbane Airport in Australia has installed a vending machine in its international terminal to serve freshly prepared meals while other foodservice outlets remian closed because of COVID-19, according to an international airport review report.
Martin Ryan, executive general manager, commercial, at Brisbane Airport Corporation, said that airport employees are using the machine, along with travelers.
The machine rotates six meal varieties, serving ready-to-eat meals in 70 seconds and cold meals right away, said Hiranjan Aloysius, CEO of dnata catering.
