Braimex Maquinaria s.l., a Spain-based provider of self-service hot food systems based on the historic Automat, has placed its first Snack-o-Matic in Mexico under the brand name Barabox, according to an email from Jochem Brandenbarg, Braimex sales manager.
Similar to the historic Automat model, the food is prepared in a kitchen behind the wall supporting rows of glass front serving cubicles. The preparers stock the compartments from behind the wall. Customers pay for their selections using contactless credit and debit cards, mobile pay, banknotes or coin, then open the glass front compartments from the front and take the items
Individual timers monitor the time food spends in the machine.
After a certain time, the machine automatically shuts down. A panel displays the temperature, wait time and other parameters.
Braimex serves customers in Europe, Australia, Asia and the U.S.
