SOUTH EUCLID, OH -- Dale J. Dardis, a vending industry entrepreneur and U.S. Navy veteran, died on May 10. He was 66.
Dardis was owner of SGRC, which designed beverage programs for the foodservice industry. He worked as a sales agent for Cleveland-based Vendors Exchange Global Solutions in the Midwest for more than 15 years.
"He contributed to develop a large customer base for the N&W coffee vending machines thanks to his knowledge and expertise in the value that a great coffee/machine combination could offer," said VE Global North America sales manager Guillaume Borione. "He was always a pleasant colleague and friend, and he will be missed."
Dardis is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan, and children Bryan, Kim, Tim and Joe, and several grandchildren, along with his canine companion Sonny.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. The burial with military honors will follow at Lake View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of South Euclid, 4600 Mayfield Rd., on Wednesday, May 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made in Dardis's memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation N.E.
