Ben E Keith Foods acquires Florida Food Service

Ben E. Keith Foods has purchased Florida Food Service, Inc. including the 86,000 square-foot distribution center in Gainesville and creating a ninth division of Ben E. Keith Foods across 15 states.

Ben E. Keith Foods will retain all current Florida Food Service employees. Marco DiGiosia, a 25-year Ben E. Keith Foods veteran, has been named general manager of the new division and has relocated to Gainesville.

Former Florida Food Service President Joel Islam will continue with the company as assistant general manager.

The Gainesville distribution division will be renamed Ben E. Keith Foods — Florida Division.
