PULASKI, WI -- Now available from Bay Tek Games is Grand Piano Keys, a one- or two-player redemption piece that presents a video image of "keys" which change color unpredictably. The player's challenge is to strike the corresponding physical key; accuracy is rewarded with tickets.
The game was previewed at last fall's International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions exposition, and formally introduced at the recent Amusement Expo this spring. It is now shipping.
Grand Piano Keys has a strikingly illuminated cabinet and an eye-catching 60" flat-screen monitor. It measures 66" W. x 74" D. x 80" H. The height increases to 111" when attaching the top-mounted marquee, and the depth decreases to 44" when removing the bench. The game is available for 110V. or 220V. power, drawing 3A. or 1.5A. (respectively).
Striking the keys causes the machine to play a variety of well-known tunes. Both accuracy and speed are rewarded, but the game's pace is established by the players, increasing its appeal to patrons of all ages.
"Grand Piano Keys is a game that has pleasantly surprised us from the very beginning," said Bay Tek account manager Anna Heck. "This game has a presence that draws players in from across the room, but more importantly it has a competitive nature that creates repeat players."
Bay Tek Games, established in 1977, is a U.S. designer and manufacturer of coin-operated games, specializing in ticket and prize redemption equipment.
