BAT plans to roll out vape vending machines in UK pubs

British American Tobacco, a multinational tobacco and nicotine manufacturer, is working to receive approval to install vape and nicotine pouch vending machines in pubs and bars across the U.K., according to a Better Retailing report.

BATS representatives are set to launch six-month trial contracts later this month in hopes of extending to 2025 and beyond.

"BAT UK is excited to be working on a project to sell our Vuse and Velo brands via age-gated vending machines," a BAT spokesperson told the news outlet. "At BAT, our purpose is bold: to build a better tomorrow. We will do this by reducing the health impact of our business, including by reaching our adult consumers where they use our alternative nicotine products. Vending machines represent an exciting opportunity to further deliver on our purpose."
