Barron Games, Timberman arcade game, Timberman coin-opBUFFALO, NY -- Barron Games International reports that it has entered into an agreement with Magic Play to become the exclusive North American distributor for a new app-to-arcade video redemption game. Timberman, produced by Poland's Magic Play, is based on the popular mobile game created by Digital Melody Games.

The "endless running" game, in which the player becomes an axe-toting lumberjack, is widely known around the world and is said to possess multigenerational appeal. In the role of a lumberjack, the player makes axe cuts on either side of a tree. With each cut, the player receives points as the tree descends; but if a descending branch catches the player, the game ends.

"Once you start playing, it's very difficult to stop," said Barron's Alyssa Chawgo. "Timberman represents the state-of-the-art in videmption with its simple, but compelling gameplay and universally appealing theme."

Released two years ago, the Timberman app has been downloaded to mobile phones more than 30 million times. In its larger coin-op adaptation, the single-player game is displayed on a 42" high-definition monitor. It features a marquee topper, cabinet LED lighting, a user-friendly interface and operator-adjustable difficulty levels. The cabinet measures 46" D. x 32" W. x 116" H.
