Barbecue restaurant installs contactless vending machine for after-hour sales

April 9, 2020

Jones Bar-B-Q in Kansas City, Kansas, has introduced a contactless vending machine to sell its signature Kansas City Q, according to a KMBC-TV report.

The temperature-controlled machine carries the shop's top selling items, such as rib tips, turkey sandwich, burnt ends sandwich, chicken wings, bottled sauce and sides.

Owner Deborah Jones said she installed the 24-hour machine after getting requests to buy the products after store hours. The machine also addresses the need for social distancing due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
