The Baltimore Ravens and Recycle Track Systems inked a three-year partnership naming RTS the Official Waste and Recycling Partner of the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. The collaboration aims to advance sustainability efforts at the LEED Gold-certified venue through RTS's AI-powered waste solutions and fan engagement initiatives, including the introduction of Cycle reverse vending machines.
RTS's technology will provide real-time waste tracking and analytics to optimize waste diversion rates and reduce contamination at the stadium, which currently recycles 31% of its regular waste. The partnership also includes plans to expand sustainability efforts throughout the Greater Baltimore area, with RTS working with local organizations to promote recycling education and environmental programs.
"The Ravens are dedicated to being a model of sustainability for the NFL and our community," Rich Tamayo, senior vice president of stadium operations and guest experience for the Ravens, said in the release. "We are excited about the opportunity to further grow our sustainability program at M&T Bank Stadium, where in 2025, we will divert even more trash through our already robust recycling and composting programs."
RTS's Cycle reverse vending machines, which have been implemented at other major venues, will encourage fans to deposit used beverage containers.
