CORONA, CA --- AVT Inc. said it has partnered with PayRange to allow its customers to pay for products by using their smartphones at AVT vending machines.
The PayRange app automatically connects to the machine when a user is about arm's length from it. They then swipe a smartphone to pay. No personal information is sent to the machine and transactions are managed by a PCI-compliant processor.
Corona, CA-based AVT said it plans to use its network of multimedia screens that are integrated into its vending machines to present the features and benefits of the PayRange system, and instruct customers on how to load the application onto their phones and start using the device to pay for products.
The PayRange system works with iOS and Android phones. Customers can use all major credit and debit cards and add funds via Apple Pay. Credit card numbers are never seen or stored on servers.
