AVT Founder Shannon Illingworth Launches New Vending Technology Company

CORONA, CA -- Shannon Illingworth, founder of AVT Inc., which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2015, said he and a team of engineers have formed a new automated retailing technology company. AR Systems describes itself as a developer of "premium" automated retailing solutions that combine interactive technology, mobile applications, adaptive computer code and wireless communications into customized vending, kiosk or self-service systems.

Vending industry entrepreneur John Murn acquired the assets of AVT Inc. in June and renamed the high-tech vending machine company Accelerated Retail Technologies Inc. | READ MORE

AR Systems is based in Corona, CA, which is where AVT was based and also where ART is headquartered. Illingworth is chief innovation officer of AR Systems and industry consultant and kiosk veteran Trevor Owen is president.
