AVT Develops Touchscreen Nutrition Information Retrofit Kit

LOS ANGELES -- AVT Inc. said it has developed a retrofit kit that can be installed in vending machines manufactured by Spain's Jofemar to bring them into compliance with the FDA's nutrition disclosure guidelines.

AVT said the upgrade provides an interactive touchscreen panel designed to engage consumers, while providing them with nutrition information. The add-on package -- which the company calls the Touch Screen Retrofit Kit -- enables operators to improve the look and functionality of their machines without having to invest in new machines.
