ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL -- AVS Cos.' Houston branch has begun operating out of its new location at 8801 Jameel Road effective Oct. 15.
 
Founded in Chicago in 1971, AVS Cos. -- formerly American Vending Sales -- has grown into a full-service gaming, amusement and vending equipment distributor in the U.S., with offices in Illinois, Minnesota, Texas and Wisconsin.
 
AVS acquired H.A. Franz, another equipment distributor, in 2016 and had been operating out of its existing building.
 
"We wanted our new location to be convenient for Houston area customers to access," said AVS president Vince Gumma. "With the proximity to the major expressways on the northwest side of the city, and the features of the building, we feel this is a great fit for our new Houston home."
 
"While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to the location that was home for so many years, this new building will allow us to better serve our loyal customers and continue to provide an exceptional level of service," added AVS vice-president of Texas operations Joe Franz.
