RENTON, WA -- Avanti Markets has added a new feature in its HR Solutions package called Meal Allowance. It allows employers to subsidize their micromarket purchases as an employee benefit.

Whether used as an employee perk or regular subsidized feature, Meal Allowance can be set up as a reoccurring daily or weekly feature that adds a specified dollar amount to the employees' meal allowance account at a defined time. This benefit allows employees to make purchases according to their unique schedules, food preferences and locations. Employers can manage their expense budgets with predetermined allotments.

"One of the great benefits of Meal Allowance is its adaptability to virtually any work environment," said Avanti Markets president John Reilly. "Companies can use it as an occasional reward for good performance, customize by a certain department or shift, even base it on health and wellness programs at the company."

The easy-to-use interface keeps employees apprised of their current balance at the kiosk. Host companies get insight into employees' use of the market resources through detailed reports. Purchase options can be tailored by the employer -- such as different fund amounts for full- and part-time employees. And operators are able to provide a new and valuable option to promote further engagement with their customer locations.
