Asahi Soft Drinks teams with DyDo Drinco on joint vending business

Asahi Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. has signed an agreement with DyDo Drinco Inc. to form a joint vending operation, according to a press release. The Japan based companies will establish the Dynamic Vending Network Inc. to operate vending machines.

A new company, known as NewCo, will be formed through a joint stock transfer. DyDo Beverage Service Inc., DyDo Beverage Shizuoka Inc. and DyDo Vending Japan Inc. will be subsidiaries of DyDo Drinco while Asahi Soft Drink Sales Co. Ltd., Michinoku Ltd. and Kyushu Asahi Soft Drink Sales Ltd. will be Asahi Soft Drinks subsidiaries.

NewCo will operate direct sales for the vending machine business and develop mart operations utilizing IoT technology.

The companies plan to reduce manufacturing costs by outsourcing production of some DryDo Drinco brand products to Asahi Soft Drinks plants.

DyDo Drinco has been vending "Mitsuya Cyder" and "Calpis Water" since March 2018 while Asahi Soft Drinks machines have vended "DyDo Blend Supervised by the World's Top Barista" since March 2019.

In March 2023, "Wilkinson Lemon" and "Monster Energy" will be newly vended in DyDo Drinco's machines while "DyDo Blend Demitasse Premium" will be newly vended in Asahi Soft Drinks' machines.
