Archetype Flood Buzz Leak Alarms Help Minimize Water Damage

SHORT HILLS, NJ -- Now available from Archetype Ltd. here is the Flood Buzz water leak alarm. Offered in several versions, they're expected to find wide application in the workplace refreshment service industry.

The basic Flood Buzz is a small, truncated cone measuring 1.5" high, sized to fit under appliance or furniture kickstands. When liquid flows under its base and contacts a pair of vertical prongs, a 90-95 decibel alarm is triggered. The manufacturer reports that the device has found favor with appliance installers and technicians in the five years since its debut.

The slightly larger Flood Buzz Pro sounds a 110-dB alarm when triggered, and is offered in two versions. FBP-01's sensing prongs extend down to the floor, providing immediate notification of the presence of liquid. FBP-02 is constructed with 1/8" clearance between the sensing prongs and the surface beneath the device, such as a drip tray.

The devices are powered by permanently installed batteries with a service life greater than three years, and are imprinted with a "replace by" date. The professional models accept labels that operators can create to display company and contact information.
