Aramark has teamed with Starship Technologies to roll out the tech company's robot food-delivery service on Arizona State University's Tempe campus, according to an asu.edu report.

A fleet of 40 autonomous, on-demand robots will deliver food from campus kitchens to students, faculty and staff who place orders using the Starship app.

The delivery service accepts Maroon and Gold dollars. There is a delivery charge with each order.

Starship Technologies already provides services to more than 10 U.S. campuses.

Users choose from a range of options, then drop a pin where they want the delivery to be sent. They can watch the robot make its journey on an interactive map. Once the robot arrives, the user receives an alert and can meet and unlock the robot using the app.
