SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Apriva said it has completed additional EMV certification for its AprivaPay Plus application on First Data's Omaha platform. The accreditation builds on Apriva's mobile EMV efforts, adding more EMV chip and signature payments choices to its solutions.

Both iOS and Android devices will be able to accept EMV payments when paired with a Walker 1.0 card reader device. Compatible payment forms include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Samsung Pay. The solution will be available through Apriva's reseller partners.

AprivaPay Plus turns any Apple or Android device into a mobile point of sale. The streamlined, EMV-certified application is geared toward small and midsize businesses, and can be used in any storefront or mobile venue, providing a customizable solution that can fit the unique needs of any merchant. With Apriva's online merchant portal, AprivaPay Plus allows businesses to measure and track purchases, manage inventory and run reports.

"Mobile payments continue to grow at a rapid pace and are now essential to many merchants today. Obtaining EMV certifications on the Apriva gateway is crucial in order to bring the latest compliance technologies to merchants," said Apriva senior vice-president of North America sales and marketing communications Stacey Finley Tappin.
