A self-service meat vending machine at a Tregaron, Wales livestock mart has been backed by planners, according to a Nation CYMRU news report.

Rhys Evans of Cig Oen Caron slaughterhouse sought permission from planners for the vending machine building at the Tregaron cattle market. Cig Oen Caron supplies meat for many butchers and businesses throughout the county and produces meat packages to local famers, according to the news report. The slaughterhouse also specializes in cutting and processing custom meat for customers' requested specifications.

The vending machine offers a dedicated space to sell Cig Oen Caron's produce to the local community, according to a statement sent to the news outlet from Morgan & Flynn Architectural services. "The proposed timber-clad building will house two vending machines that will be stocked on a daily basis selling local fresh meat produce in different forms to suit the demand of the local people," the statement said.

The application has been conditionally approved by planners.
