GREENVALE, NY -- Face Place photobooth maker Apple Industries has restructured its sales and marketing department, expanding the responsibilities of its top three sales executives. "We are better aligning our salesforce to enable Apple to sustain and supply our ongoing growth spurt in demand in every market across the board," said Apple chief operating officer Scott Avery.

Kristin Link, who joined Apple two years ago as director of distributor relations, has been promoted to vice-president of sales for distribution and FECs. She will focus on the fast-growing family entertainment center segment. Apple's new Photo Studio Deluxe, a large-footprint unit, is expected to become a mega-attraction in site-based amusement locations.

Industry veteran John Lotz has joined Apple as general sales manager. Lotz, who was most recently vice-president of sales at TrioTech, has extensive distribution experience. He will focus on street operations and tavern locations.

Longtime Apple employee Mel LaForce, who is U.S. sales and marketing vice-president, has assumed additional responsibilities in the events and new markets space. Apple said it is the only photobooth manufacturer that exhibited at February's Rental Show in Atlanta, where it showed off its Photo2Go transportable Face Place amid much fanfare.

"By restructuring our sales and marketing department, Apple is giving Kris, John and Mel the clear lines of authority and responsibility they need to support our customers," Avery said.

In related news, Apple has hired Joe DiGirolamo as marketing coordinator. He is charged with augmenting Apple's social media marketing and SEO integration.
