GREENVALE, NY -- Apple Industries plans to offer a certification program to ensure that its distributors are thoroughly familiar with its Face Place photobooths' array of new profit-enhancing features. The service was announced at Apple's distributor breakfast during the recent IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, FL.
The company observed that its products have evolved swiftly over the past few years, from traditional standalone photobooths to "digital media hubs" that offer a variety of services. These include not only purchasing duplicate prints and enlargements on the spot, but also uploading images to social media and, early in 2016, ordering custom photo-imprinted merchandise right from the photobooth. A full understanding of these new features will help operators maximize the profitability of the equipment.
"The object of our certification program is to help our distributors better serve their operator customers with the in-depth knowledge they need to take full advantage of this sophisticated, 21st century product," said Apple director of distributor relations Kristen Link. "Distributors have been asking for this kind of training."
Apple distributors will fly to New York City for one-at-a-time, one-on-one, face-to-face training from Apple's marketing and technology teams. To earn certification, each distributor must become intimately familiar with the options and functionality of the Smile 2.0 operating system that powers Face Place photobooths, as well as the growing menu of features, services, upsells and upgrades, among other moneymaking capabilities.
