Andamiro USA, an amusement equipment manufacturer, plans to reopen its facility in Gardena, California, located in the South Bay region of the county, on May 15, the day Los Angeles County plans to extend its "safer-at-home" order, according to a company email.
The county first issued the stay-home order on March 19, which forced nonessential businesses to close, and initially said it would end the order on April 19.
"While we consider our business 'essential' to our distributors and operators, and to the overall U.S. economy, it's important that we adhere to the social distancing measures put in place by California, all other states and counties, and the federal government," company President Drew Maniscalco said in the email.
