LAS VEGAS, NV - On display at this year's International Pizza Expo here are three of Andamiro USA's latest arcade games. Pizza Expo is scheduled for the Las Vegas Convention Center from Mar. 20-22; Andamiro is exhibiting in Booth 3041.
On display in the Andamiro booth will be SpongeBob Order Up, a traditional "whacker" piece; Baseball Pro Junior, an electromechanical pitch-and-bat game; and Tight Rope, an original videogame that challenges the player to ride a unicycle on a highwire, encountering unexpected twists. These three games are Andamiro's top picks for the pizza market.
Pizza and coin machines have had a special relationship for more than four decades, according to Andamiro USA president of sales Drew Maniscalco. "Since the arrival of videogames in the late 1970s, arcade games have been fixtures in pizzerias of all sizes," he pointed out.. "In recent years, a growing number of chain and independent full-service, dine-in pizza venues have been adding best-in-class amusement devices as 'other' income sources and patron-pleasing entertainment diversions."
Andamiro is one of a dozen leading game manufacturers creating products for today's lively pizza market. In 2017, there were more than 75,243 pizza establishments operating in the U.S., according to an industry report by PMQ Pizza Magazine, and U.S. pizza industry revenue was up, topping $45 billion in sales. "There's never been a better time for pizza venues to consider arcade-quality attractions," Maniscalco said.
Andamiro makes original and licensed arcade games that are operated by amusement companies around the world. Its licensing partners include Nickelodeon, NFL Players Inc., Universal Pictures and World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. Many of its games are ideal for placement in pizza establishments, where professional vending companies can provide installation, service and revenue-sharing opportunities.
