Amusement industry loses Patricia Rolle Bennett

Patricia Rolle Bennett, a former director of the New Jersey Amusement Association who owned Strand Skilo on Seaside Park Boulevard in Lavallette, New Jersey and other boardwalk businesses with her husband, Robert, passed away Thursday, according to an email from the New Jersey Attractions Association. She served as a board director of the association for more than 30 years and was a past president and board member of the International Amusement Association Parks & Attractions.

Bennett was 69 and is survived by her husband, Robert Bennett, who operated Casino Pier and other Seaside Heights Boardwalk businesses, her sister and brother-in-law Michele and Gary Bodeep of Boca Raton, Florida, as well as a niece and nephew.
