Amusement industry loses Frank Pellegrini

Frank Pellegrini

Frank Pellegrini, a longtime amusement industry executive, recently passed away at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, according to an obituary. He was 65.

He began his career at Bally Midwest and Atari, and owned video machine arcades. He also invented and patented debit card systems for arcades, which he licensed to American Express, GameWorks, Walt Disney and Dave & Buster's.

He served as a senior vice president of a division of Konami USA and simultaneously worked with his brother, Ed Pellegrini, in P&P Marketing Inc.

Pellegrini also served as a senior vice president in charge of new business development for Sega USA before founding Team Play Inc. in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri; his father- and mother-in-law, Stan and Launa Jorgensen; brother, Ed Pellegrini; nieces, Kimberly and Brittany Pellegrini; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
