Amusement industry leaders launch 'recovery' website to address COVID-19

April 15, 2020

A collection of amusement industry leaders have worked together to launch AmusementRecovery.com, a website that helps operators endure the COVID-19 pandemic and create a plan for post-virus success, according to a press release from Creative Works, a provider of creative services for the amusement industry.

Currently, there are a lot of informational resources to help small businesses, but there hasn't been a singular place where the information can be found, the press release noted. This is where Amusement Recovery fills the gap.

"We want to help the amazing operators in this industry," Armando Lanuti, president of Creative Works, said in the press release. "The contributors who created the website are working together to continually add new, timely content to the website. We want to share new information with business owners as quickly as possible, which is crucial because of how fast the pandemic situation is evolving."

Organizations that have contributed to the creation of this website include American Amusement Machine Association, Amusement Products, Betson, CenterEdge Software, Concepts Performance Management, Creative Works, Delta Strike, Embed, FEG Group, Hologate, Laser Blast, Laserforce, Mini Melts, Party Center Software, Pinnacle Entertainment Group, Player One Amusement Group, Qubica AMF, Redemption Plus, Shaffer Distributing Company, Sureshot Redemption and TrainerTainment.

The website has links about the Small Business Administration's paycheck protection program, the government's Economic Injury Disaster Relief program, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the FEC Operators Facebook Group, the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders summary of the federal CARES Act, the Department of Labor's overview on employee paid sick leave and guidance on what defines "Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers" and how operators might be able to use them.
