NEW YORK CITY -- The Amusement and Music Owners of New York has released its 2016 souvenir video, which highlights scenes of the trade group's annual awards dinner. The gala, which took place on May 10 at Ben and Jack's Steakhouse in Manhattan, honored music legend Tony Orlando as Jukebox Artist of the Year and TouchTunes executive Phil Cohn as Man of the Year. | SEE STORY
AMOA-NY represents amusement machine and jukebox operators who are active in New York City and the surrounding tri-state markets. In his video narrative, AMOA-NY president Ken Goldberg, Emerson Amusement (Woodside, NY), said AMOA-NY, through its annual awards dinner, has once again distinguished itself among all other associations across the country.
"It has gained a unique following and impressive level of respect among operators, distributors and manufacturers," Goldberg said. "Both jukebox manufacturers -- TouchTunes and AMI Entertainment -- have recognized the importance of AMOA-NY. Although they are spirited competitors, they come together to support our organization."
AMOA-New York's awards dinner and video are the association's major fundraising activities. For information on membership and next year's awards program, contact AMOA-NY executive director Danny Frank at (212) 279-1041 or dannyfrank@comcast.net.
