CRYSTAL LAKE, IL -- Amusement and Music Operators Association executive vice-president Lori Schneider reports that Class XVIII, Session IV of the AMOA On-Campus Education Program was conducted at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, early in May. Eight participants were awarded their certificates of completion after the session, which covered topics including change management, building a high-performing team and insuring a business wisely.

Launched in 1976, the two-year AMOA On Campus Education Program with the Notre Dame experience was conceived and implemented by the late John Trucano, Black Hills Novelty (Rapid City, SC), a past-president of AMOA (then the Music Operators of America). Himself a Notre Dame graduate, Trucano was a tireless campaigner for industry professionalism.

AMOA's Notre Dame program is comprised of four sessions, two in the fall which are held in conjunction with AMOA's On the Road Education and two in the spring, conducted at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

Registration is now being accepted for Class XIX, Session I which will be conducted this fall in the Chicagoland area. Click here for the details.

Schneider added that another educational opportunity for AMOA members is coming up early this summer. Foundations Education University 2.0, which enjoyed its highest attendance to date at its spring presentation in Las Vegas, will take place from July 16 through 18 at the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O'Hare Airport.

"AMOA is a proud sponsor of FEU," Schneider explained, and a limited number of scholarships is available to AMOA members. Information may be had by calling the AMOA office at (815) 893-6010.
