PHILADELPHIA --
AMI Entertainment Network has announced the launch of Co-Pilot, a free mobile application designed to help its customers manage their routes on the go. The new app allows operators and location managers to remotely operate AMI devices through a smartphone or tablet.
According to AMI, the app provides access to features previously available only on a device's remote control or through AMI's web-based dashboard.
The company explained that the app serves as a convenient mobile tool for managing locations equipped with an AMI jukebox or media player. It gives operators the ability to check route connections, turn devices on and off, check the cashbox, view revenue reports, create user accounts, access location details and controls, and get driving directions. It also allows operators to see whether any devices are in an error state or need to connect to the network.
Co-Pilot also acts as a remote control for AMI devices. Using the app as the device's remote control lets operators and location managers reboot systems, pause or play music and reject current song selections. Moreover, the app offers "from-the-palm-of-your-hand" access to Ad Manager, which is used to schedule, edit and run digital signage campaigns. Ad Manager capabilities are available for operators and location managers.
In addition to the functions presently available, AMI plans to expand the app's features. Soon, operators will get notification alerts for dedicated jukeboxes and gain  control of background music. They also will be able to add credits to the jukebox, search ad templates and more.
The AMI Co-Pilot app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play. AMI inside sales representatives can provide additional information about the program.
Founded in 1909 as an automated musical instrument company, AMI has spent more than a century developing hi-tech musical entertainment solutions.
